Lloyd and I recently attended the FAVR (Florida Alliance for Vacation Rentals) Central Florida Chapter Disney Breakfast. This is a special event hosted by our friends at Walt Disney World® in order to update us on what is current and what is upcoming.
Breakfast in the Sun
As it was a beautiful morning, our hosts at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort® laid on a tasty, cooked breakfast which we enjoyed outside in the morning Florida sunshine.
After breakfast we took our seats in the Monterrey Conference suite. We had a very informative presentation from Tyler Fischer, Enterprise Sales Key Data, who gave us an insight into how the industry has been recovering since Covid struck.
We were then treated to an amazing vocal performance from two of Disney’s cast members followed by an exciting presentation of what we can look forward to in the coming months, at the various Disney parks.
What’s New?
now has Disney Enchantment®. A new nightly firework show featuring spectacular effects which, for the first time, will extend along Disney’s Main Street.
In addition to this, magical lighting, lasers, images projected onto Cinderella’s Castle and of course your favourite characters on stage
all combine to produce a display that will wow the senses.
now that Illuminations: Reflections of Earth® has been retired, Disney have come up with Harmonious®, their brand new firework spectacular, which is of course shown on the World Showcase Lagoon. The show currently starts at 9.45pm and runs for approximately 20 minutes.
The show celebrates global cultures with messages of unity of the human spirit, accompanied by water fountains, fireworks and lasers. All these superb effects are accompanied by beautiful, emotional music from some of Disney’s most famous movies.
There are four huge video screens, set atop barges, in the centre of the lagoon. These project the stories that accompany the music and lighting effects.
There is a brand new restaurant at EPCOT. Space 220®, an all new “out of this world” dining experience. Board the special elevator that will take you up, up and high into the stratosphere. Along the way you will be able to glance out of viewports that will give you an aerial view of EPCOT.
Exit the elevator and take your seat at your table high above the planet. As you enjoy a prix-fixe meal you can look out of the windows to see amazing day or night time views of Earth from 220 miles up.
In addition, we have Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure®. This is a fun, family ride suitable for all ages and features loveable Remy on a daring culinary caper.
In this 4D ride experience you will feel like you’ve shrunk down to the size of Chef Remy as you scurry through the bustling kitchen
and dining room of Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant.
has a new, colourful show called Kite Tails. There are three showings during the day, each lasting 15 minutes.
Watch in amazement as larger than life kites and colourful props take to the skies and dance to some of Disney’s most beloved songs.
There are two unique shows: The Lion King and Jungle Book. Each take flight above the Discovery River Amphitheatre.
