Universal Studios Theme Park in Florida is the ultimate family fun park. Production Central
This is the first themed area you will see you enter the park. They start you off with a bang, too. Shrek 4-D will hit all your senses as you go on a simulated wild journey with Shrek and the gang. TRANSFORMERS: The Ride 3-D will blow you away with special effects and simulated movements make you part of the action! Those darling Minions make madness and mayhem in Gru’s Orlando laboratory in their very own 3-D ride Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. You will see LIVE entertainment during special events at the Music Stage Plaza.
Hollywood
As you head to the right, you enter Hollywood, where you will find plenty of quick bites along the way to one of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster hits, TERMINATOR® 2 : 3-D. This show is packed with special effects and you’ll truly feel like you are in the movie. If you are up for some scary behind the scenes horror special effects, pop into Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show to see how they make those actors look so scary and so real!
New York
The streets of New York are home to some big names, as you’d expect. Revenge of the Mummy® is an indoor coaster that will blow you away with intense special effects – being face to face with THE mummy will scare the pants off you! The Blues Brothers, also, make appearances daily to wow guests with their brash Chicago style gig. Lots of saxophone and good energy to be found here. A must see!
Finnegan’s Bar and Grill offers full service dining for lunch and dinner with an Irish twist or good ole American favorites, too. LIVE music will keep your mood cheery as the crowd is always sure to join in.
You can see and even participate in Fear Factor LIVE…if you are into taking some risks or eating some possibly gross stuff, be sure to throw your name in as a volunteer!
San Francisco
Just a few steps to the right and you have made the quickest trip from New York to San Francisco ever! For now, this part is all about the food! The chowder at Lombard’s Seafood Grill is fabulous and worthy of its own area in the theme park – reservations begin at 4pm. Chez Alcatraz offers al fresco dining with some upgraded food choices like shrimp cocktail and flatbread pizzas- yum! Quick bites are also available at Richter’s Burger Co. and delicious pastries from San Francisco Pastry Company.
Coming in 2017, Fast & Furious – Supercharged will be bringing more thrills, spills, and chills to guests in this action packed new 3-D simulated ride that will make you part of the high speed action!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Diagon Alley
Next to San Francisco you will find the biggest attraction currently at Universal Studios Orlando – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. This area opened in 2014 and is still the most attended area of the park. Harry Potter and the escape from Gringotts™ is just stunning. You journey through the famous goblin bank as work through the queue and the detail is simply amazing. The goblins are animatronic but you’d swear they were real! The ride begins as you enter the secret vault- you wont be disappointed with this ride!
Knockturn Alley holds lots of treasures with themed gift shops filled magical supplies – from your very own wand to an invisibility cloak, you are sure to find all that your young wizard needs to head off to Hogwarts™.
There are sweet treats to be found at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlor and counter service for quick bites at the Leaky Cauldron™
World Expo
This themed area has big movies and an animated TV giant: The Simpsons and MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack take over in this high energy part of Universal Studios. The Simpsons Ride™ will have right in the middle of Springfield with Bart, Homer and the rest of the gang. Belly up to the bar in Moe’s Tavern for a real Simpson’s experience.
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack takes you on a ride along training where you could become an agent and travel the Earth looking for aliens gone bad!
Woody Woodpeckers Kidzone®
This play area is all about relaxing fun. You will find kids coasters and themed shows like A Day in the Park with Barney™. You will stroll by carnival games and shops and even a few quick bite counters.
Fieval’s Playland will keep your kiddos busy at play for quite sometime, allowing you some valuable resting on your laurels time to watch and wave as they play away!
All-time favorite E.T. Adventure is still holding on as favorite ride for young and old. You get to be part of the unforgettable flying bike scene in the movie and its a great way to relax and cool off when you are visiting the park on a typical warm Florida day
