Providence Resort and Golf Club sits off the beaten track in, what can only be called, rural Florida. A grand entrance leads you to the gate house which has 24/7 manned security. Providence is a large community, split up into smaller sub-communities, each with it’s own character and feel. Not too far from the restaurants, gift shops and other attractions to be found on the US-192 and only 15 minutes from Walt Disney World, 20 minutes from Universal Orlando.
Providence Amenities
The on-site facilities can be found toward the back of the community. There is an 18-hole golf course with putting green and driving range. A zero-entry pool with children’s splash zone and, additionally, a separate exercise lap pool. The clubhouse has a pro-shop, restaurant and fully licensed bar, so you can play a round and grab a bite to eat after, for example. In addition, there is a fitness and aquatic center, lighted tennis courts and a sand-based children’s play area. There are plenty of sidewalks for jogging/walking and the entire community is surrounded by woodland and lakes. As a result, there is a good chance of spotting some of Florida’s abundant wildlife. For instance, White Egrets, Sandhill Cranes, Purple Martins, Cardinals and, if you’re lucky, the elusive Bobcat.
The properties on Providence Resort are mostly single family homes with pool however, there are some townhomes, which do not have pools, and these are very near the on-site facilities.
