EPCOT® Orlando is getting a make-over! Visitors to ‘Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow‘, otherwise known as EPCOT® (bet not many people knew that!), will be familiar with their current Futureland area. However, this is being separated into three separate zones, or “neighbourhoods” as Walt Disney World® refer to them. World Nature®, World Celebration®, World Discovery® and of course World Showcase. Walt Disney once said EPCOT “would always be in a state of becoming” and over the next few years that will be very apparent. The majority of the enhancements will be completed by October 2021.

World Nature
World Nature® will be all about preserving the balance and beauty of our beautiful planet. This area will include The Land and The Seas Pavilions, as well as a new Moana themed “journey of water” walk-through experience. Watch water come alive and learn about the importance of water in everything. There will also be a new film all about our amazing Earth – “Awesome Planet“.[/two_third_last]

World Celebration
This neighbourhood will bring new experiences showing us how we are connected to each other and the world around us. Spaceship Earth will not change. This will continue to be a journey through time, although it will have a new story teller and brand new music. There will be a new live event pavilion and this will also be the centre for festivals. The pavilion will be elevated so will be the perfect place to get a bird’s eye view of the whole park. It will also be the ideal place to watch the nightly firework spectacular. [/two_third_last]

World Discovery
This area will focus on science, discovery and the universe beyond our World. A brand new ride “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind“. This adventure will start in the “Galaxarium”. Similar in design to a planetarium, it will depict the similarities between Earth and the imaginary planet Xandar. The ride will feature a story telling coaster that is capable of rotating 360 degrees to keep your attention focused on the action. But watch out, there are surprises in store!
In the Mission: SPACE pavilion there will be a new restaurant. Space 220 will feel like you are in a space station miles above Earth. Board a special elevator which will take you to the restaurant where you will see views of Earth from 220 miles up. PLAY! will open in time for the 50th Anniversary Celebration in October. Discover games, activities and experiences to be enjoyed with Disney characters, friends and family, both real and virtual! World Showcase
Not forgetting the World Showcase! This trip around the world will continue to celebrate everything from culture, food, traditions and iconic landmarks, just with a little extra magic.
Take a trip to the United Kingdom and pop into No.17 Cherry Tree Lane. Say hello to the Banks family and have your very own adventure inspired by Mary Poppins. A quick trip across The Channel and you’re in France. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is the newest attraction where you will shrink to the size of Chef Remy and have an amazing escapade racing around Gusteau’s restaurant. Then why not grab something delicious at the new restaurant La Crêperie de Paris with menu items from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse.[/two_third_last]
