For those not familiar with the event, this will be the 29th year for the nation’s longest running, independent (non-Ironman licensed) full distance triathlon. An ultra-distance triathlon, or full distance triathlon as it is often called, features a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run. Since the first race, in 1991, the Great Floridian Triathlon has attracted athletes from all 50 states and more than 30 countries. The race is recognized for being one of the most challenging, full distance races in the country and is given huge support by the City of Clermont, Lake County, its neighbouring communities, local residents and businesses, which ensures a world class race experience combined with the benefits of the quaintness of a small town.

We have a variety of rental villas to suit individual or team needs. The majority of our villas are within 30 minutes of the race location and ideally situated for restaurants as well as shops for any last minute essentials. Clermont Victory Point is located just 22 miles west of Orlando at the junction of US-27 and SR-50. The drive from Orlando International Airport is approx. 50 minutes and Orlando’s world famous attractions are only 30 minutes away.
